Polishing & Nano-Ceramic Coating

Over time, paint picks up light scratches, swirl marks and wash-induced wear. Polishing brings back the factory shine, and nano-ceramic locks in the result with a durable hydrophobic layer — together, this is the most common order at BRANDBOX.

When you need polishing

Spiderweb scratches from car washes, paint that's lost its depth and looks dull, swirl marks visible on dark cars in direct light — these are all signs it's time. Polishing is also a required step before applying ceramic coating.

Types of polishing

We choose the method based on the condition of your specific car.

  • Protective — no abrasives, removes dust, adds gloss, doesn't touch the paint
  • Abrasive — removes a micron-thin layer of paint, eliminates scratches and swirl marks
  • Headlight polishing — restores clarity to the lenses

What nano-ceramic coating gives you

Liquid glass bonds chemically with the paint and creates a durable hydrophobic layer on the body.

  • Hydrophobic effect — water and dirt bead off the surface
  • Deeper gloss and richer color
  • Protection from chemical contaminants and UV fading
  • Easier day-to-day car care

How we apply it

The body is thoroughly washed, degreased and polished to remove minor imperfections — ceramic coating reveals everything underneath it, so prep matters more than the application itself. The coating is applied by hand and cures in a clean environment. For the first 24–48 hours, the coating is building its hardness — avoid water and direct sun during this time.

Frequently asked questions

How long does ceramic coating last in Israeli heat?

It depends on the grade of the product: from a few months for consumer-grade coatings to several years for professional multi-layer systems — even through summer heat above 40°C.

Can I wash the car after application, and when?

Don't let it get wet at all for the first 24–48 hours. After that, wash as usual, but avoid harsh chemicals and stiff brushes during the first week.

How is ceramic coating different from wax?

Wax sits on top of the paint and washes off within a couple of weeks, especially in the heat. Ceramic bonds with the paint chemically and lasts months to years.

Is ceramic coating necessary after polishing?

Not strictly necessary, but recommended — if there are scratches or swirl marks, ceramic without polishing just "seals" them under the gloss. Together, this is our most common order.

Does abrasive polishing damage the paint?

It removes a micron-thin layer of paint — safe with the right technique, but the procedure has a limited number of times it can be repeated over the car's lifetime.
