Three different jobs, not one service
People often mix these up, even though they solve different problems. A regular automatic car wash quickly clears dust and dirt off the body with brushes. A detailing wash does the same job by hand, without harsh automation — gentler on the paint and more attentive to spots the brushes can't reach. Interior cleaning isn't about the exterior at all — it's about the cabin: seats, carpets, plastic trim.
How a detailing wash differs from a regular one
Automatic brushes at a regular car wash rub the whole body the same way, and over time they leave fine swirl marks on the paint — especially noticeable on dark cars. A hand detailing wash removes that risk and also reaches spots automation skips.
- The body is washed by hand, no brushes
- Wheels and wheel arches are treated separately
- Extra attention to seams, recesses and door sills
When you need interior cleaning, not a wash
If the problem isn't on the outside but inside — a stubborn stain on a seat, a smell after transporting a pet, dust trapped in floor mat fibers — washing the body won't help. That's a job for deep interior cleaning: it handles what a regular vacuum can't remove.
What to choose: a one-off fix or a routine
The logic is simple. Want the car to look well-kept outside and avoid the fine scratches automatic brushes leave over time? Get a detailing wash, ideally on a regular basis. Got a stain, a smell, or the cabin hasn't been deep-cleaned in a while? That's deep interior cleaning. Often it's not an either-or — the outside gets one kind of care, the inside another, done at different times as needed.
